One hot summer day, a thirsty crow found a tall pot with a little water at the bottom.
She dipped her beak in, but the water was too low to reach! She pushed the pot, but it was too heavy to tip over.
The clever crow looked around and had an idea. She picked up a small pebble and dropped it into the pot — plop!
Then another, and another. Slowly, the water rose higher and higher.
At last, the crow took a long, happy drink and flew away smiling.
